Conferences & Workshops

  • The CAS holds training courses on accelerator physics and associated technologies for physicists, engineers, technicians and students throughout the year. Participants are welcome from member states of CERN and other countries world-wide.

  • Review the LHC performance from 2016 and lessons learned. Discuss operational performance optimization for run 2 and how to get to full energy exploitation. Look towards LIU / HL-LHC / LS2.

  • The principal aims of the workshop are to review the performance of 2016 and identify possible areas of improvement. Examine beam related issues and establish a strategy for the rest of Run 2 and develop an outline of the operational scenario for 2017 and 2018 for input to Chamonix 2017.

  • IBIC gathers the world's beam instrumentation community. It is dedicated to exploring the physics and engineering challenges of beam diagnostic and measurement techniques for particle accelerators worldwide.

  • ICALEPCS facilitates fruitful collaborations among the world´s control system specialists from large scientific installations, such as particle accelerators, light sources, laser facilities, telescopes, tokamaks, etc.

  • IPAC is the main annual event for the worldwide accelerator community and industry, with presentations of the latest results from accelerator R&D and on the progress in existing, planned and future accelerator facilities.

  • The 18th International Conference on RF Superconductivity focus on the fundamentals and technology of SRF R&D.
