The 13th edition of the Inverted CERN School of Computing (iCSC 2020) will take place at CERN from 16 to 18 March 2020 in the IT Auditorium (Room 31/3-004).

Register! Attendance is free, you are not obliged to attend the full event – indeed you can simply attend the classes that interest you the most.

The event will be webcast.

An excellent programme is planned, consisting of lectures and hands-on exercises selected from a range of proposals by past CSC students, and focusing on the following domains:

  • Programming Paradigms and Design Patterns
  • Heterogeneous Programming with OpenCL
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Reconstruction and Imaging
  • Modern C++ features
  • JavaScript for Science
  • Big Data processing with SQL

Applications are open for the 2020 Thematic CERN School of Computing (tCSC 2020), which takes place on 7-13 June in Split, Croatia. 

The theme of the School is "Efficient Scientific Software for Heterogeneous Architectures”, and the programme will cover the following topics:

• Technologies and platforms
• Parallel and optimised scientific software
• Programming for heterogeneous architectures (CPU, GPU, HPC etc.)

Anyone can apply for the Thematic School (including former CSC participants from the main summer school).
